Curbside Yard Waste Rules and Regulations |

Description: Vegetative matter resulting from landscaping maintenance including but not limited to leaves, twigs, grass, limbs, hedge clippings, hay pine straw, pine cones, and logs.
Preparation: Placement ino CLEAR plastic bags or 35 gallon trash containers. Limbs and brush larger than 1" but small than 6" in diameter must be no longer than 6'. Limbs and logs larger than 6" in diameter must not exceed 2'. Logs must not exceed 10" in diameter. No stumps shall be collected by the Town, no fences, poles, etc.
Amount: Piles are not to exceed 4 cu. yd pickup. Trash cans and bags are not to exceed 10 per bi-weekly pickup and not exceed 50 lbs. Logs are not to exceed 75 lbs per week. Yard waste must be free of trash and other refuse.
Contractors: Any yard waste pruned or cut by a contractor will be the responsibility of the contractor to remove yard waste from the property.
Items that cannot be collected: Building materials, landscape materials, plant pots, plastic trays, mulch bags, dirt, rocks, no plants inside of pots, etc.
Leaf collection: Leaves are picked up loose at the curb from October 1st through March 15th of each year. From March 16th through September 31st of each year grass clippings, loose leaves, pine straw, etc. must be either bagged or in a container. Leaf piles and bags must be free of limbs, trash and debris. |
DO - Place all brush in a
single location by 7:00 am on day of pickup.
DO - Have it clean of trash. DO - Have contractor remove his/her own waste. DO - Have it separate from trash pickup. DO - Use clear bags or marked containers DO - Place at curb of residence.

Point of service: All items are to be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM on the day of pickup. |
